Meta di Sorrento

So, Saturday, June 12, while the rest of the group went to Sorrento, Aaron and I decided to take a break and go to a beach for the day. So we did, and that beach was the Meta di Sorrento. It was pretty, and we were tired from being on the go constantly. So, to make the full beach experience worth our while, we decided to splurge, and rent an umbrella and two beach lounging chairs for the day. It was expensive for that, but we had a prime spot and in the end, it was totally worth it. We sat right on the edge of the water, and played in the water and napped in the warm sun for most of the morning and part of the afternoon. Oh what tough lives we lead.

The water was cool, just on the verge of scaring people off, but once you build the courage to get into the chilly water, it felt perfect. The sun was warm. Warm enough that getting out of the water was very comfortable, and once the sun dried you off, it felt good to get back in the water. So, for several hours, that is just what we did, get in the water, get out of the water, and repeating the cycle.

Early in the afternoon, Aaron and I decided to leave, it looked like it was going to rain a little, and e decided to start on the walk back to the train station. So we took a leisurely walk back and we even beat the crowd back to the station.

Once we returned to Naples in the early afternoon, we went to a Burger Piu (aka: Burger More...it used to be a Burger King) and then went on a walk along the port and then got gelato before returning to our respective homes. It was a very lovely and relaxing day that was much needed.

Until Later...Ciao!
