Yesterday, Sunday, we decided to wander around Naples for our very last Sunday in Italy. So we slept in, and set out in the late morning to wander around the historic downtown area. We saw lots and lots and lots of ornate churches, and eventually (after walking around and getting a little lost) made it to Cappella Sansavero which was our first destination. Here there was what used to be a church, and a statue of The Veiled Christ and a lot of other really neat statues. We wandered around in here for a little bit, and then began to make our way to our seconded destination for the day.
We wanted to go to a lookout around Castel St. Elmo. It is in the center of Naples and have a great view. So we began our little walk there. To make a long story short, we wandered around Naples for a while. Making circles and walking up steps and getting lost. We met some nice people and had quite the little adventure. After a LONG time, we made it up to the little look out area. We sat and enjoyed the view and the breeze.
Then, because it was way past lunch and we were hungry, we called it a day, then headed back to our house. We made it home in MUCH less time. We ate a nice late lunch/early dinner and called it a day.
It was a great little adventure for our last Sunday. I will be home in a few days, but before then, I have to get things taken care of with school and packing.
I shall give you updates later! Love you!
